Get a QuoteWhich jacket suits which conditions?
A softshell handles wind and light rain and is the safest all rounder for most crews. A fleece is warmer but offers no weather protection. Puffer styles suit cold starts and standing work. If your team is outdoors in genuine rain, you want a rated waterproof rather than a water resistant softshell.
Is it worth spending more on a branded jacket?
A jacket is the most expensive garment in a uniform and the one worn longest, often for several years. It is also the one seen most in winter, when everything else is covered up. Spending a little more here does more for how a team looks than anywhere else in the kit.
Embroidery or print?
Embroidery, almost always. Jacket fabrics are thicker and often technical, and stitch sits better on them than ink. A back print is still possible on flatter fabrics.
Will embroidery affect waterproofing?
Stitching pierces the fabric, so on a genuinely waterproof shell it can. We use backing to minimise it and keep logos to the chest. Say if the rating matters and we will advise.
