What makes a work shirt people actually wear?

The shirt that stays in the ute is the one that is too hot, too stiff or the wrong cut. We stock a range from lightweight vented styles through to heavier cotton drill so you can pick for the conditions your crew works in rather than taking whatever is on the shelf.

    Embroidery or print?

Embroidery is the usual choice on work shirts. It sits better on a collared garment, handles repeated washing well and reads as more established to a customer at the door. Screen printing makes more sense for large back designs.

Cotton drill, poly cotton or lightweight?

Cotton drill is the traditional choice. It is tough, it breathes and it wears in rather than out, but it creases and takes longer to dry. Poly cotton blends hold their shape and dry faster, which suits crews washing gear every night. Lightweight vented shirts are the answer for summer work outdoors and are what most people wish they had bought by January.

    Short sleeve or long sleeve?

Long sleeve outsells short sleeve for outdoor trades in Australia, because sun cover matters more across a full day than the extra airflow. Plenty of crews order both and let people choose.

    How many shirts per person?

Three to five is the usual working number. It covers a week without daily washing and gives you room when one is in the wash and one is filthy.

Will the logo survive industrial washing?

Embroidery handles repeated hot washing better than almost any print. If your gear goes through a commercial laundry, say so when you order and we will decorate accordingly.

Can we add names as well as the logo?

Yes. Names are usually embroidered opposite the logo. It costs a little more per garment because each one is a separate setup, but on a customer facing team it is usually worth it.
